Edo state University, Iyamho, has begun the training of its staff on manpower development, innovation and global competiveness The initiative of the University which is yet to graduate its first batch of graduates, will among others, make the University technology-driven in learning and teaching.
Vice-Chancellor of Edo University, Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor disclosed this when the management of the Institution led members of Edo State House of Assembly, House Committee on Education on a guided tour of facilities in the school.
He told his guests that the University had trained some staff during the train the trainers programme.
Aluyor also pledged the University will not lose sight of its Corporate social Responsibility (CSR) to its immediate Communities.
The visit to Institution was part of the oversight function of the Lawmakers were led by the Chairman House Committee on Education, Mr. Foly Ogedengbe who was accompanied by other members of the Committee, are, Mr. Victor Edoro, Bright Osayande and Victor Aisien Ojo.
Places visited by the guests, include, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Arts, Social Science and Management, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medical Science and Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) where students are on intents aretrained on tailoring, bead making and bags.
