Basking in happiness in the 2019 general elections, the Edo State Governor, Godwin Enogheghase Obaseki and his then Political Godfather, Mr Adams Oshiomhole eked out resources available at their disposal to guarantee victory for the Party, All Progressive Congress ( APC) at all levels ( Presidential, House of Assembly Polls) where the Party won all the 24 seats.
With these victories, no one could imagine the eventual defection of the sitting Governor, Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, and the fallout of his once “ Principal” Adams Oshiomhole who until recently was the National Chairman of the ruling Party, All Progressive Congress ( APC) .
Like a fery tale, Adams Oshiomhole and Governor Godwin Obaseki are clearly swore enemies, and only God Almighty can resolve their differences even in the wake of Godwin Obaseki’s relentless fighting to become the Governor of the State under the People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) for another four years, making eight years of his administration.
Although, Civil Servants, and Pockets of Some Political Jobbers earnestly want Governor Obaseki for another four years, but Sources said that what brought things apart between himself and Adams Oshiomhole might also reared it urgently head Considering his close romance with Chief Lucky Igbinedion, two time Governor of Edo State who many found to have abysmally failed to provide the dividends of democracy and basic infrastructural developments in the state.
Expectedly, Chief Lucky Igbinedion as Obaseki’s new found Political Godfather, insider said, is leaving frying Pan to Fire, and no sooner than later, both would dance “ Surugede” , leaving another indelible Political pains in the minds of Edo people and Political watchers.
Obaseki, by all Standards, is not a Politician but under studied his former” Principal” Adams Oshiomhole to become a master and dear to heart of many Edo people even visitors who empirically said he, Obaseki had worked, therefore, he deserved another four years in the state.
