Edo deputy speaker for probe over official secret

Edo state house of Assembly has indicted the deputy speaker, Mr. Victor Edoror for devulging official secret of the house.
Consequently, a five-man adhoc committee has been raised to investigate the deputy speaker, Mr. Victor Edoror.
The Speaker, Kabiru Adjoto who constituted the committee during plenary on Monday in Benin, said the alleged breach of legislative powers by Mr. Victor Edoror was weighty enough to plunge the house into disrepute.
The members of the committee to include Mr. Nosayaba Okunbor, member representing (APC Orhionmwon 1) who would serve as the chairman.
Others are Mr Victor Asein, member representing (APC Owan West), Mr Osaigbovo Iyoha, member representing (APC Oredo East), Mr. Festus Edughele, member representing (APC Esan South-East) and Mr Patrick Iluobe, member representing (PDP Esan North East 1).
The committee is expected to submit its report on Wednesday, June 27 2018.
In the meantime, the house has adopted a business calendar of 65 days for the first quarter, fourth session of the sixth assembly.
The Motion to adopt the business calendar was moved by the Majority leader, Roland Asoro member representing (APC Orhionmwon 2) and seconded by the chief whip, Osaigbovo Iyoha, member representing ( APC Oredo East) constituency.
