Rave of the moment wonder kid, Ibekwe Ebuka Eugene has taken his football skills and potentials to Warri, Delta State where he has powered Sunsel Football Club into the quarterfinal of the 2020 U-19 Felix Aniral Football Tournament.
The Ngadiuba Football Academy of Abia State revelation has been the star performer in the competition with his slick and mesmerising display holding opponents and spectators in awe.
Ebuka Eugene popularly known as “Aguero” was in action last week as his team came from behind to defeat their opponents, Winfure International Academy 3-1 in the last Group A game on Saturday.
Ebuka Eugene who came from the bench in the second half of the encounter provided two assists as Sunsel FC gathered more bites and purposefulness following his entrance.
His two assists came of swift attacking play that saw him disengage his markers to slot the ball to his teammate for the second goal.
It was not long as his terrifying runs and good positioning earned him a through ball from the defence and it took an intelligent interplay of one-to-one with the scorer of the goal to silence the opponents.
The win over Winfure International Academy gave them 6 points in the group after winning two and losing one of their three matches in the preliminary stage of the tournament.
In their first match, Sunsel lost 2-1 to Future Stars but they recovered from the early setback and thrashed Inv Leopard FC 4-1 in their second match.
The Quarterfinal matches will be played on Thursday, December 3rd 2020 at Warri Township Stadium, Delta State.
