Hundreds of Couples have regained their lost identities while lover birds renewed acquaintances with estranged hobbies on Easter Sunday at Oko-Ogba Community in Benin City.
Privileged and under privileged children were also not left out of the celebrations where broody and lonely families, activated their marital vows before engaging one another in endless toasts, and had hangover which startle onlookers.
The event was convened by a middle-aged woman, Mrs. Ruth Obaseki in honour of her daughter, Miss Omosede Gabriella who recently turned a year-old.
The Gariella’s mother, proposed to build vulnerable elderly people Centre and Orphanage home for the downtrodden in demonstration of her love for humanity.
She said she derives fulfillment while “in the midst of happy Children and united families”.
According to her, “Children are blessing from God and when you are privilege to attain a certain height in life, all you need is to try and raise people up instead of bringing them down.
“I am not a snub. The essence of the Birthday Ceremony was just to make people around me feels happy.
“Literary, today is Easter Day Celebrations. However, there are people who cannot.
“I want to build Orphanage home and schools that will be a shelter for vulnerable people and less privileged in society including those who are denied access to formal education and help build confidence in people with low self esteem in society”, she said.
One of the Couples, Mr. Aibudefe Kennedy, challenged Nigerians to always show love towards one another which he claimed is the hallmark of Christ’s death and resurrection.
