Despite playing for Yatai Changchun last weekend and helping to bag their first win, Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo is yet to find his scoring form this season.
The Super Eagles international contributed as Changchun bagged their first win out of six Chinese League matches so far.
Ighalo was in action in Changchun’s 3-0 home win against visiting Henan Jianye in the CSL on Sunday.
After losing three and drawing two of their last five league games, Ighalo and his teammates had to claim the full three points.
Jie Sun gave them the lead in the third minute before Lasse Vibe made it 2-0 in the 47th minute.
And with seven minutes remaining in the game, Long Tan made sure of the three with the third goal.
The win moved Changchun Yatai to 13th on five points, in the 16-team league table.
Meanwhile, Ighalo has scored just one goal in six league games for Changchun this campaign and has not scored in his last three league games.
The former Watford striker has one goal and it came in a 1-1 home draw against Beijing Renhe in March.
