Federal University Dutsin-ma, Katsina state has matriculated 519 students for the 2014/2015 academic session into the four faculties of the university.

Speaking at the matriculation ceremony at the weekend, at the university campus along Dutsin-ma- Katsina Road, Vice- Chancellor of the institution, Professor James O. I Ayatse warned the newly matriculated against cultism.

Ayatse stressed that the university administration would not spare any student cultist and any staff collaborator or anyone involved in such activities or any behaviour that violates the code of conduct of the institution.

He added ” sanction which include expulsion from the university also await those involved in cultism and other forms of misconduct such as fighting, stealing and disrespect to constituted authority of the university”.

Similarly, Ayatse has also warned that the university had banned indecent dressing and students guilty of the immoral act would be prevented from participating in academic activities of the institution.

He therefore tasked the students on peaceful co- existence while according to him the university takes serious exception to activities, pronouncements and tendencies that affect the institution’s peace.

The Vice- Chancellor told the students that the university has a robust e-library with several hundreds of thousands of e- books and journals, warning against stealing or mutilation of such books.

Ayatse thanked the Katsina state governor, Alh. Ibrahim Shehu Shema and the federal government for the support given to the university since its inception which he said have assisted in the academic stability of the university.
