The Niger State Controller of Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) Engr Abdullahi Isah Jankara has received award for Outstanding Performance and Dedication from Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineering Students Forum (NiMechE-NSF) in Minna.
Jankara was presented with the award after lecture to mark Engineering Ladies Summit 2019 on the topic: ‘The Challenges of Industrialization and Power in Nigeria’ saying that the award will spur him to do more by given back to society in all aspects of endeavors.
Speaking, Jankara identified lack of visionary leader, incompetency and deep corruption as reasons behind the successful industrialization and adequate power supply in Nigeria adding that the right people be given the opportunity to serve and the country to achieve next level plan.
Engr Jankara encouraged ladies to go into engineering course and pledges N500,000 for the best overall lady, N200,000 for second best lady engineer and N200,000 best in Chemical engineering for 2019 graduates.
The Forum Chairman, Lawal Richard Seun in his remarks explained that the aim of the summit is to encourage engineering ladies in the universities by charging perception and narratives of engineering courses for only male students.
