The Kaduna state branch of Ibibios National Development Association, has warned President Jonathan not to take them for granted by thinking that he has good grip on the south south zone.  The community stated this in a communiqué signed by the National President, Observers of Democracy Progress Mr. Gideon Emmanuel Kaduna and made available to the Media in Kaduna, yesterday. According to the statement President Goodluck Jonathan is over-

confident of victory in the south south, as portrayed by sycophants and political jobbers around him. “The President is today pretending to be in the comfort zone in the south south, but if he goes down the memory lane carefully he will realize that President Obasanjo did not deliver his zone, even though some will say he finally became the President. But our dear President’s

scenario is a different one because he is losing grip of other zones and now the south south is slipping off his hands. “We the Ibibios contribute 60/70 percent of the people in Akwa Ibom  state and nobody, including the Present can win any election in Akwa Ibom without our support. We are also known to support our leaders and that is why Victor Attah remains our leader. And whosoever is feeding the president with a contrary opinion is only being deceptive..

“We appreciate the contributions of our Governor, Godwill Akpabio to the development at the same time we want to let the world know that he is not the superman that he is being painted to be, so it is in the interest of President Goodluck Jonathan to come down to the grassroots

and discuss with groups like the Ibibios rather than laying in the comfort zone and believing that the south south is within his grip. “We want President Goodluck Jonathan and those deceiving him to know that electioneering in Nigeria is taking a dynamic style, let them not forget so quickly, what happened in Osun State so let him not take the people of the south south for granted,’ he said.
