Don’t pay money for Transformers repair, installations-KEDC CEO

The Managing Director of Kaduna Electricity Distributed Company Alhaji Muhammed Danjuma   called on all   Costumers within his jurisdiction not to pay any money for transformer repairs and  or installation saying if any staff of his company demands such consumers  should please  inform  management team to ensure that such staff are discipline  because such demands are fraudulent.  He stated this during a press conference held in Kaduna yesterday.

Alhaji Idris added that the repairs and maintenance of transformer are sole responsibility of of the distribution company hence no customers should be saddle with any form of contributions.

The Managing Director of KEDC also disclosed that some part of Kaduna metropolis will soon enjoy free installation of free pre- paid meter courtesy of word Bank project. The area to benefit from the take off project are Goni Gora , Rigasar, Hayin Damaiand kinkino.

  Alhaji   Idris   furthered disclosed   consumers of electricity that  henceforth   they   will enjoy uninterrupted 20 hours power supply because of improvement in electricity distribution by the company .

 According to him the uninterrupted supply will increase to 24hours with the proposed commission of three injector substations located at Air force Base, mother cat and kawana in Zaria.

“With the expansion in landed property and increase in population the old substation located at   Air force Base, mother cat and Kawana cannot supply the needed power and that is why the Federal Government approved this substation which has been completed and awaiting commissioning  and this will guarantee the 24hours power supply to the areas.

“The 24hours power supply will continue unless there are shortages in voltage or local faults and we are ready to address such issue within 24hours,” He said.
