From Lawal Sa’idu Funtua, Katsina
Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina has urged Christian women in the state to always rise up and demand for their legitimate rights.
Masari stated this yesterday while receiving an association of Christian women from the Funtua zone, southern part of the state.
He noted that as indigenes of the state they have the right to demand for equal rights and opportunities like any other indigene of the state.
“if you fail to demand for your rights you are not doing justice to your children, grandchildren and your children yet unborn” he stressed.
Masari advised them to elect candidates that would do justice to them in the forthcoming general elections, adding “ there is no peace without justice”.
The governor similarly advised them to mobilize other Christian women from the other senatorial zone to present a common position in the forthcoming election.
Earlier, the leader of the group, Mrs. Saratu Liti Ruwan Sanyi said the Christian women from Funtua zone appreciate the effort of the Masari administration in transforming the state.
