Delta: Abductors of college vice principal demand N15m ransom

Kidnappers who abducted a secondary school vice principal in Ughelli South in Delta are currently asking for N15million ransom.
The victim, Mrs Owhorode Vivian, a Vice Principal of Otor- Udu Secondary School in Imode, Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state, was abducted last Sunday in the area by five man Kidnap gang on her way home from the Church of the close of the service.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Onome Onovuwakpoyeya who confirmed the kidnap of the vice principal, said that the police were on top of the situation, adding that the police will do everything possible to ensure her release unhurt.
Sources said the kidnappers allegedly forced her into their vehicle after shooting into the air sporadically to scare passersby to execute their evil plans before they drove into an unknown destination with their victim with onlookers shouting for help to no avail.
Lamenting, an elder statesman in the community, Chief Otoworo Edward who spoke to journalists in the area, said”we are no longer safe even in our rural community , Just imagine how the kidnappers are now asking for N15million? where will the family of the poor vice principal get such money?, this is absolutely ridiculous and painful”
disclosing that the victim up until now was still being held in an unknown destination by the kidnappers.
Family members of the victim are alleged to have deserted their houses in the area for fear of the unknown, while doors were lock and key as residents around refused to speak to Journalists on the matter.
Sources further said that the Vice Principal was the fourth victims allegedly Kidnapped in the area in the last two months, a situation at present, creating fear of the unknown and palpable tension, especially within the victims’ families.
