In response to the presidential directive for security outfits to man secondary schools in the North-east states, the Nigerian Security And Civil Defence Corp, NSCDC, Adamawa state Command has deployed two hundred and fifty personnel to secondary schools in seven liberated local government areas in the state.
“Because of the presidential directives on manning our secondary schools in the seven liberated local government areas from insurgency in the state.
“My Command has swiftly deployed 250 personnel to man secondary schools for the seven liberated councils in which ten personnel per school on running shift basis,” Commandant Ndanusa stressed.
State commandant of the Corp(NSCDC),Mr. Aliyu Ndanusa disclosed the development in Yola Monday at a press briefing stressing that parents and guardians of students in the secondary schools of the seven local councils should not be disturbed as their security is assured.
Ndanusa said the liberated councils from insurgency include ; Gombi,Hong,Song,Madagali,Michika,Mubi-North and Mubi South noting that,the operation will be involving other sister security organisations code name “Joint Task Force operation “.
Ndanusa explained that,the seven councils which were initially under the occupation of the Boko Haram insurgents until their liberation by the military troops towards end of 2014 because of their proximity to neighbouring Borno state.
He appealed to parents and students to cooperate with the NSCDC personnel.
