Dapchi Girls: Tsav lambasts security agencies, hails Buhari
From Uche Nnorom, Makurdi
Former Lagos State Commissioner of Police Alhaji Abubakar Tsav has said that the abduction and return of over 100 Dapchi school girls clearly manifests security lapses and gross dereliction of duty by the nation security agencies.
Alhaji Tsav who stated this yesterday in a text message while reacting to the release of the girls, noted that the incident is a monumental shame which is highly condemnable.
He stressed that security is not the exclusive responsibility of government, maintaining that all Nigerians devoid of ethnic and religious background should play their role in securing their communities.
Tsav lauded the President as well as security agencies and those who were involved in negotiations that led to eventual release of the girls.
“Let us stand in unity and love and eschew violence. I thank Boko Haram for returning the girls and also appeal to them to call off their struggle”, Tsav appealed.
