Dankwambo presents N118.7bn 2019 budget to Gombe Assembly

Gombe state governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo yesterday presented proposed budget of N118.7bn with N60.6bn as recurrent expenditure to Gombe state House of Assembly to enhance the development of the state.
While presenting the budget proposal to the House, Governor Dankwambo said his administration will not hesitate to create job opportunity to the teaming youths in the state.
According to him, his priority in 2019 fiscal year will aimed at improving the living standard of education, Health, Agricultural development, infrastructure, as well as sustainability of Internal Displaced persons( IDPs).
While commenting the legislature for their effort, Governor Dankwambo assured that he will not hesitate to fulfill his promise when the budget is put into law.
Speaking further, he said “I will do everything possible to ensure that I take the state to next level”, adding that his administration is working hard to ensure that Gombe should be a tourist state.
He revealed that youths who are the backbone of every society, government will provide enable environment to empowered them in order to be useful in the society.
Governor Dankwambo while commended President Muhammadu Buhari said he had done well in the issue of insurgency in the north east and called for a one minute silent in line with those that lost their lives at the course of insurgency.
He however, pledged support to enhance the living standard of the people noting that his government is committed to serve them.
In his speech at the event, Speaker of Gombe state House of Assembly Hon. Nasiru Nono appreciated the gesture made by the governor, assuring him that the House will do everything possible to ensure that the budget presentation will be put into law without hindrance.
He promised that the house is fully prepared to work closely to the government in order to move the state forward.
