The Dangote Group is sponsoring this year’s Kaduna International Trade Fair billed to open between Friday February 23rd and Sunday March 4, 2018.
The organizer, the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) described the partnership with the Dangote Group as very central to the success of all its activities, both local and international.
Speaking to newsmen, the Director General of the KADCCIMA, Mr. Usman Saulawa, said: “The Dangote Group has remained our major sponsor for many years. The Group deserves commendation as it has been helping businesses to grow, not only in Kaduna State or Nigeria but in Africa as a whole.”
This year’s Trade Fair is expected to be officially opened by President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday February 24th, 2018, Mr. Saulawa said.
According to him, the 39thInternational Trade Fair has as its theme: Promoting Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for International Competitiveness.
He said investors from many countries are expected in this year’s annual event.
The countries, according to him, include: “Egypt, Iran, India, China, Mali, Tunisia, Indonesia, Senegal, Niger and Pakistan among others.
A statement from the Dangote Group and signed by the Chief Corporate Communication Officer(CCCO) Mr. Anthony Chiejina said the Trade Fair will offer the Group opportunity to display its numerous innovative products which include the Dan-Q Seasoning, sachet sugar, salt, Cement and pasta, among others.
The statement urged participants to patronize the Dangote Pavilion.
Speaking also, President of KADCCIMA Mrs. Muheeba Fareeda Dankaka commended the Dangote Group for its yearly sponsorship of the event, adding that in Dangote the chamber has found a worthy partner in the development of the Nigerian economy.
She said this year’s Fair will also address the issue of diversification of the Nigerian economy which has been on the front burner over the years.
She said next Tuesday; the Chamber will host a Business Round Table with the theme: Promoting Made in Nigeria Products for International Competitiveness.
Mr. Femi Bayode, an expert on Export is expected to deliver the lead paper.
Other stakeholders that are expected to participate in the Business RoundTable include private companies, Customs, Shippers Council and the Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC), among others.
