The Africa’s richest person, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has built a N1. 2 billion structure in Bayero University Kano (BUK).
The business mogul has donated the ultra-modern edifice to the university’s business school.
The building, named Dangote Business School, was commissioned by the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi ll, yesterday.
Speaking at the occasion, Sanusi described Dangote as a philanthropist whose humanitarian gestures cut across every nook and crannies in the country and beyond.
He commended Dangote for his commitment to development of education in the country, saying “this is not the first time he built structures in BUK and other institutions across Nigeria.
The emir also commended the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for also building new structures in the institutions, urging the apex bank to expedite actions towards completing the buildings.
Earlier in a remark, the BUK’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Yahuza Bello thanked Dangote for the gesture.
