Dambazau urges officers to foster relationship at interior games in Kaduna

The Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (rtd) has urged officers at interior games in Kaduna to foster mutual relationship to ensure internal security and citizenship integrity for the promotion of good governance in Nigeria.
The minister who stated this yesterday in Abuja during the launch of mascot and logo of the second edition of the Ministry of Interior Games tagged “MIGA” said it officers will use the game to identify athletes that would represent Nigeria both in the country and international level.
He reiterated that the mass participation of officers in the games will help it officers to sustain physical and mental fitness for the valve of all.
Speaking earlier, the board chairman of the Civil Defence, Immigration, Fire and Prisons Services, Mallam Alhassan Yakmut confirmed the games has been scheduled for 22nd of this month to 1st of December in Kaduna.
Yakmut explained that the second edition of the competition would be a breeding ground for sports Stars expected to make Nigeria proud in near future.
Military and Para-Military Officers over the years have over the years made represented Nigeria at various international outings.
He explained further, “We are going to have Athletes compete in 12 sports including Taekwondo, Athletics, Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Karate, Swimming, Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton, football and Tug of War.
According to him, 1854 Athletes, 222 technical Officials, 100 Volunteers and than 200 security operatives will be performing one task or the other.
