The alleged impunity and corruption being perpetrated in most of the Internally Displaced Persons,IDPs camps in the North eastern states ravaged by the Boko Haram terrorists activities have been observed to be going unchallenged.
A concerned outfit “Say No Campaign Nigeria” has taken the bull by the horn in moblising civil society organisations to checkmate such ugly trends in various IDPs camps in these states.
Convener of the movement ( Say No Campaign-Nigeria), Mr Ezenwa Nwagwu has tasked Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in North East Adamawa State to do more on corrupt practices going on in The camps in the state.
Nwagwu made the call in Yola while addressing a town hall meeting of stakeholders on corruption issues in IDPs Camps in the North East, organized by the movement in collaboration with Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH), Yola.
Nwagwu said the movement was disturbed on the level of corruption and other abuses such as rape going on in IDPs camps, perpetrated mostly by officials including security personnel.
