A Group under the auspices of Ihifix Technologies Limited has commenced digital training to make education affordable to the poor masses, through the use of digital tools.
The Chief Executive Offcer CEO of the company Emmanuel Adikpe made the assertion during the opening ceremony of the training in kaduna yesterday.
According to him, teachers were out of work during the COVID-19 period because they could not transform from the analogue teaching method to digital, but the training will prepare them ahead of any occurrence capable of stopping curricula activities.
He added that the participants received training on use of Gsuite, Google classrooms among others to facilitate distance teaching and learning.
While saying the training will make teaching and learning seamless, and affordable to the public, Adikpe explained: “We are here to bridge the gap and prepare the participants for the digital age.
“We have over 149 schools from northeast, northwest and benue state that attend the training. And as a digital company, we have put them on lots of platforms for free. For instance Gsuit education is free. They will be thought on how to communicate with students, mark classworks and assignment ls using digital technology.
“Today’s training is for school owners, proprietors, principals and teachers to make them understand how to get online and use the the tools. Digitization is what we need in every sector and including education.”
