Covid-19 victims support fund gulps N3 billion by Dec – Danjuma
No fewer than 3 billion naira will be expended by the Victims Support Fund Task Force on Covid19 by the end of its intervention by the middle of December this year which was expected to cover thirty states of the federation.
The Chairman of the Fund, General Theophilus Danjuma retired announced this yesterday while presenting the third phase distribution of food items and personal protective equipment to Niger state government in Minna.
Represented by Chairperson Victims Support Fund on Covid -19 Mrs Toyosi Akerele Agunsiyi General TY Danjuma said this include water projects in fifty four schools across eighteen states in Nigeria and other support to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC.
Others include provision of automatic foot padal hand washing stations as well as medical items among others.
According to him, the cumulative monetary value of their donations to Niger state alone stood at N107.9 million which covers food and personal protective equipment to support heath care workers and centres as well as face masks among others.
