The Chairman Yoruba Council of traditional Obas and Chiefs in the 19 Northern States and Abuja Ambassador Muhammad Arigbabuwo has called on Nigerians to intensify prayers for President Muhammadu Buhari, the Presidential Task Force ( PTF) on COVID– 19 and others stakeholders to surmount the Coronavirus pandemic
He disclosed this while speaking to the media in kaduna yesterday
According to him the increasing numbers of infected person is becoming worrisome despite the mechanism put in place by the government .
The Royal Father therefore said it is time to seek divine intervention as people of the faith.
He said that the only way to get over the COVID-19 was to exercise faith in God and pray to save and heal the nations.
“The current Coronavirus pandemic is a sign of the end time. We need to repent from our sins and turn to God.
Ambassador Muhammad Arigbabuwo added that stakeholders like the National Assembly,state Governors and the Health practitioners should be a prayer points for God wisdom in tackling the Pendemic.
He commended the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force Mustapha Boss and the Health minister Osagie Emmanuel Ehanire for their tireless efforts in battling the COVID– 19.
He commended theFederal Government on the plan recruitment of 1,000 itinerant, unskilled workers in each of the 774 Local Government Areas (LGA), in the country from October to December for roads rehabilitation, construction, sanitation, among others.
The programme according to him has been approved by President Muhammadu Buhari and aimed principally at recruiting 774,000 itinerant and unskilled Nigerians which is a laudable steps.
The Royal Father stressed that the N60,000 each, per month that would be paid to them will help not only them but relationship especially in this COVID–19 Pendemic period.
