Covid 19: Bauchi to establish testing center

Bauchi state government has explained it’s readiness to establish testing center for coronovirus in the State
The State Deputy Governor, Senator Baba Tela disclosed this while addressing Journalists at the Government House Bauchi.
Senator Tela said establishment of testing center in the state will ensure prompt and timely testing of patients infected with the virus.
“ This development can reduce the difficulties we usually faced before accessing tests to coronovirus in Abuja.If this was actualizated, we can conduct our tests in Bauchi easily without any hitches.”
He said the state government is working assiduously in close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure the actualization of the establishment of testing center forcoronovirus in the state.
The Deputy governor, who is the Chairman of the Task Force on COVID-19 who expressed concern on the non compliance of the directive of the closure of borders, said the measure is to maintain sanity in the management of the virus.
He said last sample of the State Governor Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulqadir was taken and as a reponsible government they are waiting for the results of the test from the National Center for Disease Control NCDC before they will act on it.
Senator Tela said the governor is doing very well he has spoken to the people of the State through Skype and even yesterday he has a discussion with the Governors forum throut the Skype.
On the level of donations for the mitigation of coronovirus scourge, Senator Baba Tela announced donation of cash of 2 point 5 million naira in addition to food items of about 1 point 5 million naira.
The deputy governor said civil servants have also pledged to contribute from their salaries to compliment the efforts of the state government in tackling the spread of the virus.
