COVID-19: 12 more suspected cases identified, as 2 show symptom – Committee

The tasks force committee on COVID-19 in Gombe state has revealed that there are 12 more suspected cases identified in Billiri local government area of Gombe alleging that 2 persons are showing symptoms
The committee disclosed this in Gombe at a press briefing through its Chairman Prof. Idris Mohammed.
Mohammed said after information reached the committee concerning the suspects who they said came from Lagos, the Rapid response team in Billiri swung into action and visited the affected residents to see things for themselves where 2 persons were alleged to showi symptoms. Their samples Will be taken to the laboratory for test.
The chairman of the committee who said no stone will be left unturned explained that out of 327 suspected cases identified, one is on admission at the Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe waiting for the result of his sample. The committee said until his result is out, it is premature to confirm whether he is infected or not. Another suspect is said to be in isolation.
He appealed to the general public to report any suspected case around them to the committee by using telephone number distributed earlier.
“If we refuse to report any suspected case to appropriate persons it means we are not helping matter we will watch and see our people die a mysterious death”, he said.
