A Mararaba Senior Magistrates’ court 2, has remanded one Anas Ibrahim, 20, of Jabi, Abuja, in prison custody for allegedly constituting public nuisance.

The Senior Magistrate, Mr. Jeremiah Danladi, gave the order after the accused had pleaded not guilty to a three-count charge.

The accused is facing charges of criminal intimidation, making atmosphere noxious to health and constituting public nuisance.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Sgt. Aliyu Mohammed, had told the court that the accused was arrested by surveillance team, attached to ‘A’ Division Police Station, Mararaba, on March 16.

Mohammed alleged the accused was smoking Indian-hemp in a public place and also threatened to kill the motorcyclist that conveyed him with a knife, if he did not stop at a U-Turn.

The prosecutor said that the offences were contrary to the Penal Code. (NAN)
