The Madaki of Sabon Gari in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Abubakar Madaki, has called on both Muslims and Christians to continue to believe in God, saying that no disease that can kill human beings without the knowledge of God.
He also urged Muslims as well as Christians to pray seriously to overcome the deadly disease that is about ravaging the country, saying that the cure for Coronavirus is in the hand of God.
Madaki, who made the call in an interview with our correspondent in his residence in Gwagwalada on Thursday, calling on the government of the day to stop closing the mosques and churches in the name of Coronavirus.
He said the closure of mosques and churches would not augur well for the country, noting that mosques and churches could be used for prayers to fight Coronavirus.
He, therefore, tasked the Federal Government to reopen the markets across country to boost economic activities for the traders.
Madaki said the closure of markets had brought hardships to Nigerians, lamenting that people could no longer eat food three times daily due to the closure of markets.
