The Organization, in a statement personally signed by its head of administration, Shiekh Nasir Abdul Muhyi and made available to newsmen Monday in Jos, said “In demonstration of this timely tragedy of Covid-19 Pandemic, JIBWIS has already implemented safety measures, such as provision of hand sanitizers in offices and places of worships, distancing policy and locked down all its Nursery, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Schools having over 7-million pupils/students nationwide”.
The statement reads in part: “National Seminar for Qur’anic Recitation is hereby suspended; Judges, Imams and other juristic participants are to note with high sense of seriousness.”
The organization further reiterated commitment to supporting government’s initiative against the escalation of COVID-19 and any measure that seeks to promote public safety and welfare of Nigerians at this critical period on the records.
