From Mika’il Tsoho, Dutse

The Jigawa State Government has announced the extension of stay at home work for civil servants in the state for an additional one week.
This was contained in a statement signed and issued to newsmen Tuesday by the State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila.
The statement said, the new order started from today Tuesday, June 16th, 2020 to Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020.
The statement directed civil servants in the state to continue observing the work at home order for additional week so as to avoid unnecessary outbreak or further spread of the deadly coronavirus in the state.
He said that, “the extension of the additional one week work at home became necessary with the present government’s determination and commitment to ensure that all proactive measures are put in place to stop further spread of the deadly coronavirus in the state.”
Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila, however, commended the civil servants across the state for their unflinching support on the work at home order.
He then appealed to the civil servants to strictly adhere to directives by the state government, urging them to continue to observe social distancing, wash their hands regularly and stay-at-home order to avoid being infected.
