The Council of Imams and Ulama in Kaduna State had urged all Muslims where ever they are to adhere strictly to all precautionary advices against the spread of coronavirus 19 in Nigeria.
The Secretary General of the Council, Yusuf Yakubu Arriasiyyu
disclosed this in a statement made available to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
The council urge the people of Kaduna State to ensure strict adherence to public health advises at all times to avoid contracting and spreading of the coronavirus.
According to the statement, based on expert advise the Council, directed All Juma’at Mosque and all five daily prayers whose population exited 20 to suspend congregational prayers until further notice.
The Council insisted that this directives is in accordance with the teaching of the noble prophet Muhammad peace and blessing of Allah be upon him.
“The Council appreciates the proactive measures been taken by the Kaduna State Government under the leadership of Mallam Nasiru Ahmad El-Rufai to curtail the spread of this virus and therefore urge the people of Kaduna State to cooperate with the government on this matter.
“The Council appeals to well to do individuals to assist their neighbours who might find it difficult to take care of themselves at this very difficult period.
“The Council appeal to Muslim to intensify prayers for Allah’ intervention so that the corona virus case never find it way to Kaduna state and all other parts of Nigeria that is yet to reach and cure those already infected. “
