The committee was established to curb the crisis in Benue, Nasarawa, Plateau, Taraba, Katsina, Kaduna, Kwara and Zamfara, including Delta and Edo states.

According to him, the Fulani/farmers in the communities have declared that they have no problems between themselves; rather, it was some groups who were benefiting from the crisis, especially those that come out in the media to condemn the existence of the committee.
He called on the security agencies to investigate and put their surveillance on ground to arrest such groups. “When the committee started, as a member, I was the only person that came out physically to meet with the Fulani and other ethnic groups in Benue state and they embraced the truths from us. The Fulani/Tiv and Agatu youths were happy with the committee and they dined and wine together.
“I later understood that some of those fueling the crisis were those calling themselves Fulani leaders, whereas they are not recognized as any leader among the Fulani,” Bodejo added.
He called on the state governors of the affected crisis to stand behind the committee to enable them achieve their aim of bringing peace among the various ethnic groups in those states, commending the chairman of the committee, DIG Operation, Micheal E.O Zuokumor, for his leadership style and promised to work with him without fair or favour.
