Completion of Mosque: Emir of Kano promises to assist Abaji

The Emir of Kano, Alhaji (Dr) Aminu Ado Bayero, has promised to assist the Muslims of Abaji Area Council in the FCT for the completion of uncompleted Jammat Mosque project in the area.
Bayero, who stated this while addressing the crowd at the Palace of Ona of Abaji during the familiarisation visit on Saturday, further said he would continue to support the Ona of Abaji to succeed in his chiefdom.
He therefore, thanked the District Heads/Village Heads as well as the entire Abaji people who came out en masse to receive him warmly in the area.
In his welcome speech, the Ona of Abaji, Alhaji (Dr) Adamu Baba Yunusa, who is also the chairman of the FCT Traditional Council, expressed joy that there was a mutual working relationship between the two chiefs for so long now.
He appealed to the Emir of Kano to join hands with other traditional rulers to wage war against street begging/hawking among the children in the north for the progress of our children.
He also pleaded with the Emir and other royal fathers in the north to educate the parents on the need to give priority attention to the Girl Child Education.
Continuing, he called on the Emir to always partner with the Federal Government in order to provide jobs for the youths in the labour market in the north.
While fielding questions from journalists, Ona advised the entire people of Abaji to continue to live in peace.
On his part, the chairman of Abaji Area Council, Alhaji Abdulrahamani Ajiya, thanked the Emir of Kano for the visit.
