A community chief (Sarkin Zago) in charge of Dei-dei International Livestock Market in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Muhammadu Salisu Kusada, has called on the FCT minister, Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello to repair dilapidated roads in the market, to enable the motorists have ease access to the place.
Kusada, who made the call in a recent interview with Peoples Daily in Dei-dei, also urged the minister to rehabilitate the damaged culverts in the market in the interest of the butchers doing business there.
Equally, he appealed to the government to consider building a bank in the market to enable the butchers to keep their money there.
He solicited the co-operation of the government’s officials to buy their rams in the market during the festivities, instead of travelling to the far North to purchase the rams.
He however called for the total upgrading of the market, in order to attract more patronage from both Nigerians and foreigners, to purchase the cows as well as goats in the market.
Also, the Sarkin Zago appealed to the various associations in the market to join hands with him to move it to the next level.
