…Commences land registration in November

Jigawa state government has solicited the support of communities, traditional leaders and civil societies on Land Title Registration exercise set to commence next month.
The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Abdulkadir Fanini made the call while inspecting the facilities provide for the exercise in Birnin Kudu local government.
The SSG who is Chairman State Committee for the Registration said, the exercise was aimed at collecting data on the land owners and the potentiality of land to enable government acquired statistic data for social and economic planning.
He noted that, the registration will also end or minimize land title crisis among the communities members as the original owner is registered and documented in a data base.
According to him the traditional leaders has to authenticate and verified the land owner before register and in the situation where the land owners are more than one all the title owners will be captured in the registration.
Fanini added that, the pilot scheme of the exercise was done last year in Dutse capital and now five local government are selected namely BirninKudu, Hadejia, Gumel, Ringim and Kazaure.
While shading more light on the exercise, the state commissioner ministry of Land Alhjo Muhammad Aminu AK said, the work can only see the light of the day if traditional leaders supported it by providing authentic information about the right owner of any piece of land.
He then re emphasize the need for the traditional leaders to enlighten their community members about the exercise and also provide all required information for the benifit of all.
In his side, the chairman Birnin Kudu local government Alhaji Muhammad Sani Abdu promise to provide all necessary support needed from the council for the successful take up of the program and accomplishment of the targeted goals.
