A Christian religious leader in charge of the Christ the King Chapel, Kutunku in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Dr. (Rev.) Simon Peter Igbadi, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to deem it fit to focus on the human development for the benefit of the less privileged ones in the society.
He said no government could be successful, if failed to cater for the welfare of the poor or citizens.
Igbadi, who stated this in an interview with Peoples Daily after the thanksgiving service in Kutunku, urging president to redouble his efforts to provide purposeful leadership capable of satisfying the aspirations of Nigerians.
He said: “The average Nigerians are yet to feel the impact of this present administration. So, if Buhari wants to contest for the second term in office coming 2019, he should give top priority to the welfare of the poor”.
He further added “Nigerians are suffering in silence as they cannot cater for their needs anymore. The Federal Government should endeavour to create jobs for the youths or Nigerians to alleviate their hardship”.
He pleaded with the Federal Government to establish industries/companies to generate more jobs for unemployed Nigerians in the country.
The cleric used the occasion to call on both Muslims and Christians to tolerate one another for the progress of Nigeria.
