The Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) in collaboration with Open Society Initiative For West Africa (OSIWA) have trained over thirty (30) security operatives and civilians on policy dialogue on protection of civilian and civilian harm mitigation in armed conflict in Adamawa state.
Participants were drawn from the Armed Forces, Police, Customs, DSS, Immigration etc.
In his welcome remarks,Executive Director of CISLAC,Auwal Musa Rafsanjani explained that the training was to brainstorm with participants on the efforts to reduce civilians risks from physical harm, secure their rights to access essential services and resources.
Rafsanjani who was represented by the Program Manager, Defence & Security of the Centre CISLAC Mr. Salaudeen Hashim said that the effort will contribute to a secure, stable and just environment for civilians.
