The Garden of Love and Deliverance Ministry, Masaka, has urged the public to join the church in their seventh annual feeding of the five thousand.

The General Overseer of the ministry, Prophet Sunday Balogun, who spoke with People’s Daily, said the programme would re-enact the Biblical feeding of the multitude by Jesus.

Balogun emphasised that the ministry’s positive initiative of feeding the people was aimed at spiritual upliftment of the people especially during these trying moments.

“With the happenings around the world and the ministry, we want to give hope to the hopeless and to draw people closer to God. This is in line with what Jesus did. We need to key in to the teachings of the church and encourage our people to always do the right thing so as to gain salvation.

He said as an administrator, he has built both Nursery and Secondary Schools to help people in the community.

On the continued hostage of Chibok girls in the Boko Haram camp, the Prophet said the abduction is an issue of serious concern for the country and international community.

“As a man of God I have been praying for the abducted girls. They have been in captivity like the children of Israelites and I am confident that one day the girls will come home to their parents.

“We are also praying for the arrest of those behind the evil and dastardly act,” he expressed.
