Concerned about the utter indifference to human rights in society and attendant occupational hazards in journalism, Heritage Assembly Church has interceded for media practitioners in Edo State.
The session preceded a lunch break meeting between the church and members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), at Edo State Council Secretariat on Tuesday in Benin City.
Crusoe Osagie, the Special Adviser to Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, said the platform afforded him an opportunity to interact with his professional colleagues and build bridges of unity.
He clarified however, that the meeting has no political undertone.
In a brief exaltation, Pastor Yemi Dabiri, charged media practioners to worship God irrespective of the religion they profess ahead of the day of reckoning by the creator.
The Chairman of Edo NUJ, Comrade Roland Osakue, commended the group for creating time to hold the religious fellowship with members of the
union and sued for its sustenance since the first interactive lunch was held on September 13, 2018.
