Evangelical Intercessary Fellowship Ministry, Pastor Yuhana Buru yesterday called on federal government to ensure adequate security at worship places and markets to protect lives and properties of the people.
Pastor Buru also called for adequate security for parks and social gathering centres across the country.
In a statement signed by Pastor Yohana Buru and made available to newsmen in the state, he urged marketers to also cut down prices of goods and foodstuffs to enable citizens celebrate Christmas/ New Year with joy and happiness.
“Federal government needs to ensure that there are adequate security at all worship places, markets and social gathering centres so as to protect lives and properties of the people during the festive season.
“Despite shortage of money in circulation prices of goods and services have skyrocketed in the market making it difficult for citizen to shop for Christmas season. We appealed to marketers to cutdown foodstuffs prices,” he said.
The pastor further urged marketers to offer Christmas bonanza in the spirit of the season.
