The Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido, has felicitated with the Muslim faithful in the Council, urging them to sustain the principles of Ramadan in their daily conducts.
Candido implored Muslims to imbibe the tenets of tolerance and unity, irrespective of ethnic and religious differences, so as to achieve peaceful coexistence among the various ethnic groups in the Area Council.
The AMAC Chairman, in his Eid el-Fitr message delivered through his Chief Press Secretary, Dayo Lawal, advised them to imbibe the tenets of love, tolerance, forgiveness and brotherhood which the periodic of Ramadan exemplifies.
According to him, it was only by embracing peace, unity and fairness that meaningful progress and development could be achieved.
Furthermore, Candido called on the people to pray for the Council and its leadership, so as to continue transformation of the various communities with the provision of social amenities and good governance.
