The Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abdullahi Adamu Candido hosted the recently reconstituted and inaugurated board members of 12 FCT agencies and parastatals boards’ members, to socialize and charge them to facilitate service delivery to the people.
He noted that the current FCT Administration under President Muhammadu Buhari was doing so well in governance and that it was their duty to let Nigerians know so through service delivery.
He added that politicking has started and that All Progressive Congress (APC) members should not allow the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) take over power again.
He reiterated that FCT residents and Nigerians at large are feeling the pains because the PDP messed up the country in the past and that they are trying to repair what they destroyed.
“We must educate the populace against the false alarm being raised. We captured power three years ago as a result of Nigeria passing through a decaying moment.
“We almost didn’t have a nation again, today we are trying to put things right, definitely there will be pains.
“The PDP took Nigerians for granted, at every opportunity public purse was pilfered with impunity; let party members echo this to Nigerian citizens and not allow them go back to PDP.
“President Buhari is doing so well, you may not see it now but in no distant time you will see it. We own it a duty to let Nigerians know that and let them also know that this government means well.
“We are inching towards a political year, we must tell Nigerians that Buhari is doing so well, but that challenges exist because the PDP rubbished the system, healing must take time, we are correcting the ills of the past,” Candido stressed.
Also contributing, Ishaku Tanko Yamawo, Coordinator, Satellite Towns Development Department (STDD) stressed that they was no reason for the APC to lose power to the opposition.
