From David Hassan Gombe
Northern Youth Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has decried fuel scarcity which hit major cities across the country and made daily activities paralyzed.
Chairman of the Northern Youth Christian Association of Nigeria, Evangelist Musa D. Misal made this known yesterday in Gombe while briefing journalists, said non availability of fuel during this festive period is worrisome.
He appealed to the federal government to as a matter of urgency intervene in order to put to an end the lingering problem of fuel scarcity in the country.
According to him, something should be done fast even as he adviced the government to meet independent petroleum products marketers on a round table discussion to end the problem.
He sympathized with the situation where petroleum which is said to be Nigeria major product has failed to yield momentum for the benefit of the masses.
Speaking further, Evangelist Misal said the approval of the one billion dollar by the federal government to curtail insurgency in the north east has clear picture as to what the money is met for.
He said Nigerians would like to know exactly what the money is being budgeted for, and that the federal government should explain to the public how the money will be utilized.
The chairman cautioned government against using the money for corrupt practices.
