Campaign in north-east, a home coming for Buhari – Support group

As the long awaited visit of General Muhammadu Buhari for his presidential campaign in Yobe draws closer, the Buhari Support Organization (BSO) is living no stone unturned to ensure a peaceful campaign rally and a peaceful election in both Yobe and Borno.

A member representing Bade/Jakusko Federal Constituency in Yobe, Hassan El-Badawi disclosed this why briefing journalists on the activities of the BSO in preparation to receive the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Muhammadu Buhari in Yobe for his 2015 election campaign.

He said the Buhari Support Organisation was established in Abuja with branches in all the 36 states and the federal capital territory Abuja, adding that in Yobe State, coordinating offices have been established at the wards, local and state levels.

He stated that having served as a governor in the northeast, General Buhari will be coming to his home rather that coming as a stranger during his campaign visit to Yobe State.

He disclosed that the organization in Yobe has been active in making adequate arrangement for the visit to ensure a peaceful rally through sensitization of the grassroots, especially the youths so they could conduct themselves peacefully before, during and after the 2015 general election.

He said the group is also mobilizing support for General Buhari from ward, local and state level and has acquired an office where the work of coordinating the activities are carried out.

He said the situation in Nigeria now required a man with a military heart who can tackle the various problems bedeviling the country, from corruption to insurgency and revamping Nigeria’s ailing economy, pointing out that the country is blessed with natural resources that could be tapped for economic benefit of the nation.

He stressed that Buhari does not need marketing because his legacy is selling him to people and thus the general support he has been receiving everywhere he carried his campaign to even in the south where such success would have been in doubt previously.

He therefore called on the people to come out en masse to receive the dream president of Nigeria whenever he arrives and give him their one hundred supports.
