The Chairman, Bwari Area Council, Hon. (Dr.) Musa Dikko, has commended FERMA on the rehabilitation of Roads across Bwari Area Council.
Dikko gave this commendation recently when he paid a courtesy call to the MD/CEO of FERMA, Engr. Nuruddeen A. Rafindadi, in his office.
The Chairman, Bwari Area Council, Hon. Musa Dikko, said he was delighted to be in FERMA on behalf of the people of Bwari Area Council: adding that the purpose of his coming was to appreciate the Management and staff of FERMA for the rehabilitation of roads in Bwari Area Council.
He explained that his major challenge on his assumption of duty as Chairman of the Council was the deplorable condition of the roads which inflicted a lot of pain on the users.
The rehabilitation of the roads across the Local Government Area by FERMA according to him has now given him a big relief as he can now go to bed with two eyes closed.
He however solicited for the help of FERMA to work on the shoulder of the road around Dutse axis, especially the market area to allow for free flow of traffic on that area. He also appealed to FERMA to consider repairs on the old road around Ushafa village that is a shorter route to connect Kaduna. He added that the rehabilitation of the road will help the Council in his Internal Revenue generation and also showcase the tourist potentials of Ushafa village.
Dikko assured the MD that FERMA will not regret any development it embarks on in Bwari Area Council while listing the construction of 7 markets across the Council Area and handling of the security situation as some of his achievements.
Responding, the Managing Director/CEO, FERMA, Engr. Nuruddeen A. Rafindadi, appreciated the Chairman for coming. He said that FERMA is an Agency that has a feeling of responsibility towards roads that are bad and needs emergency attention, and so delve into roads across the nation to take care of emergency situation. He added that FERMA has a close cooperation with the Federal Capital Territory on roads, therefore attend promptly to roads within the territory as at when due.
A statement signed by Maryam M. Sanusi (Mrs.) Head, Communications/PR, the MD further said that FERMA as an Agency interfaces and conducts its job in the right manner. This he said has necessitated the visit and appreciation of the Chairman and his management team to FERMA headquarters.
Rafindadi also expressed willingness to seek for land in Bwari Area Council for FERMA staff housing. He expressed the hope that the Chairman will assist in this regard to further cement the good relationship that exists between FERMA and the Local Government.
