Building plan approval made easier by ICT

Ambassador Amina Usman, an expert in building plan processing, documentary and research, has said the use of computer has enabled people to get their building plan approval much easier in FCT and the rest of the world than the analogue system.

Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, Amina, said getting the right architectural designer, paying all processing fees ,with having the right building plan consultant would fast tract the process in much easier ways with the FCT development control department.

She explained that, her first programme ‘Restoring the Abuja master plan, , gave an insight to how a city needs to be plan in terms of infrastructural building plan for residential and commercial purposes.

Amina, who is anchoring her second documentary on how to acquire a building plan approval, has the Theme; the new phase of development control in FCT, the programme is schedule to hold on Saturday in Abuja, and is aim at sensitizing people on how to process their building plan approval using computer.

She said the programme is geared towards educating and the public on how best to pursue their building plan approval with the development control in a faster and easier ways, adding that it is for both low and higher income earners.

Amina also called on the residents of Abuja to embark on green building plan so as to provide a clean environment for good oxygen and as well provide good eco system. According to her planting green tress will make Abuja, residents leave healthier.

Commenting, Yahaya Yusuf a town planer with the development control said the department has structured all its building plan processes in computer in order to make it easier for the people.
