From Mika’il Tsoho, Dutse
The Jigawa state Governor, Muhammad Abubakar Badaru, hss described President Muhammad Buhari as a leader to all Nigerians and not a partisan leader or All Progressive Congress (APC) leader alone as opposition claims.
Governor Badaru stated this while presenting a paper with a title “Review of the Nigerian Economic and Fiscal Policy Environment And Way Forward” at a two day retreat organised by Governance Support Group (GSG) in Dutse, Jigawa state.
He explained that despite that the APC administration suffered from rampant last minute jamboree spending by the opposition party PDP few days before living power resulting in the economic meltdown, still President Buhari succeeded in turning Nigeria from corruption to corruption free country, from insecurity to secured nation, as well as diversifying the nation’s economy.
According to Badaru, President Buhari did not discriminate across party lines when it comes to economic reform agenda, adding that he ignored all the differences and committed himself toward fighting for the survival of the nation.
The governor maintained that President Buhari released bail out, Paris Club refunds, agricultural intervention, security responses and infrastructures development programs to all states and not only APC states.
“As a true nationalist, he took time to create Nigerian solutions for a better change, no favouritism, no selfishness and no discrimination”, Badaru said.
