A youth group, under the umbrella of Southern Zone Young Stars Association (SZYSA), in Bomadi Council area of Delta State, has mobilized support for Ijaw freedom fighter, Felix Tuodolo, to represent Patani/Bomadi Constituency at the National Assembly in 2019.
Tuodolo, now a peace broker, had declared his intention to represent the constituency at the green House before the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) executive in Bomadi Council Area last week, in what could be described as Ijaw youths affair.
Speaking for the group, the President of SZYSA, Comr. Godwin Y. Ogobiri, a.k.a D.J., said Mutu’s job in 2019.
He noted that well-meaning constituents had waited patiently for a caliber of people like Tuodolo in the past years to represent the constituency.
He said Tuodolo’s representation would fight for interest of the constituency and the Niger Delta region at the Abuja House. He disclosed that his group had already brokered alliance with other youth bodies, sensitizing them on the need for the young generation to occupy elective offices as against what had been playing out in the political system.
He said SZYSA would use all machinery at disposal to work for success of Tuodolo for 2019 Movement, noting that aspirant had paid his dues in the struggle for emancipation of the Niger Delta. He noted that Mutu had been at the lower House for about twenty years, stressing that over for effective representation.
The youth leader said that over 3, 000 youths from various communities in the riverine constituency had thumbed up for SZYSA in its plan to carry out a massive campaign for Tuodolo for 2019, soonest.
“Enough is enough. We are prepared for a change of leadership of the seat of Patani/Bomadi Federal Constituency in 2019. Tuodolo’s candidacy is the best thing that has happened to us. “We will use all machinery at our disposal to work for the success of this rare gem in the politics of Patani/Bomadi Federal Constituency.
