About two hundred and fifty school teachers in Borno State were reportedly killed in the last three years by the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents in the state.
This was revealed yesterday on the Hausa Service of VOA monitored in Jos when members from Borno state Chapter of Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) visited the families of the deceased to sympathise with them.
Comrade Bulama, who led the delegation of the Union, explained that the purpose of their visit to the families of the victims was to share food items and other presents to them so as to ease some of their difficulties just as he said, the victims were their colleagues prior their departure, adding that it has become necessary for them to offer such assistance.
Rita Musa, who lost her mother in a bomb blast around Post Office area was among the beneficiary of the gifts, appreciating the magnanimity of the Union.
