Bizwomen association inaugurates FCT Chapter

The leadership of Quintessential Business Women Association (QBWA) has inaugurated its Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter, in order to encourage business women in the Territory.

According to the president of the association, Mrs. Shimite Katung, the association has about 1,183 management team cutting across the six geo- political zones of the federation.

Katung disclosed that the mission of the association is connecting as well as supporting women and youth in their business endeavours.

The President, who spoke to newsmen after the inauguration at the weekend, stressed the need to maintain the highest standard of ethics and values of the association.

She assured the business women/men of the association that she will provide necessary support to them, to enable them carry out their respective businesses successfully in the territory.

She therefore advised the officials of the association to remain committed to the needs of their members and respective areas.

Also speaking, the FCT state coordinator of the association, Mrs. Victoria Madaki Aliyu, pointed out that already the FCT chapter had registered about 150 cooperative groups to serve as an example for other states to emulate.

Aliyu thank the national officials of the association for inaugurating the chapter, and promised to work hand in hand with them to move the association to the next level.

On her part, the director in charge of Area councils, Mrs. Patience Ardey, who is also the founder of the Dpat Foundation said that she would do her best to put smiles on the faces of the business women at their respective area councils.
