The Bishop of Diocese of Kaduna Anglican Communion Rev.Timothy Yahaya has said leadership is a call to service and not a title.
He stated this during the Trinity Ordination of Deacons and Priests held in Kaduna yesterday.
According to him, leaders should see themselves as people selected by God to serve and not to make themselves as boss on the people.
He added that bad leadership always brings confusion and chaos. The cleric further said Some leaders in Nigeria today are not God fearing, saying their body language and actions shows they only Care for themselves.
Bishop Yahaya expressed dismay when leaders fly about in all kinds of Jets but the common man can not pay his transport fare.
He added that those who stole the Commonwealth of the nation are responsible for the insecurity and suffering in the land, warning that it is time for them to repent and make restitution to avoid the wrath of God.
On the forth coming general elections in the country Bishop Yahaya called on the citizens to get their PVC card and participate actively in the elections.
He advised the Independent National Electoral Commission to be unbiased umpire and ensure that every vote is counted The Bishop also expressed dismay over the crisis between the legislature and the executive . According to him the crisis is a result of bad leadership orchestrated by some greedy leaders.
He charged the ordained Deacons and to see their call as services to Church of God and to work with its members in caring for the poor needy, sick and all who are in trouble
