Biafra: Ohanaeze youths disown Kanu, say Nigeria must move forward

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council (OYC) in Asaba, Delta State on Tuesday disowned Kanu ‘s Bafria agitation, saying that Nigeria must move forward for unity and progress as well as development for the Igbo youths
National President of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council, Igboayaka Igboayaka who spoke to journalists on the need for way forward in the wake of Nnamdi Kanu Bafria agitation, said that the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council was not in support of the agitation adding that the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council only support the agitations to address the aged long social economic maginalization of the Igbo youths towards sustainability growth and development.
Igboayaka frowned at the dispositions of Igbo elites towards promoting Issue based campaign to the Federal Government that would ensure long lasting economic freedom, employment opportunities,Job creation, educational development and ease of doing business by Igbo business man in the South South and South East region of the country.
He said, “We need support in the South South and South East State, and not Nnamdi Kanu Bafria agitation, We want the federal government to resuscitate the department of Chemical Engineering in the University of Nigeria (UNN) that was closed down after the civil war, We need employment, We need international airports, We need the enabling environment for our youths who are into business, We need federal government to support our course in the area of entrepreneurship development. Our people are the economic hub of the world, there is need to address the issue of leadership problem facing our people, the Igbo youths need to grow and contribute to growing standard that will help Nigeria.”
